VENTURA Participant's Guide-2019

Terms and conditions

1. Each team must consist of 2-5 members and may include students from any other university and non-students (Work experience should not be more than 2+ years).

2. No individual can be a member of more than one team.

3. Any startup which has raised seed funding or further rounds is not allowed to participate.

4.Teams who have passed proof of concept/prototyping will be given preference above idea stage startups.

5. Any startup incorporated as a company for more than a year is not allowed to participate.

6. Subsidiary/ancillary units of a company cannot compete against each other.

7. Previous winners, runners up and third place holders cannot compete with the same business idea in the following years. They may enter the competition again with a new business idea.

8. All ventures must be "for profit" entities.

9. The competition is for new independent ventures and generally excludes the following: expansions of existing companies, real estate syndications, tax shelters, franchises, and spin-outs from existing corporations.

10. Licensing technologies from universities or research labs is permitted, assuming they have not been commercialised previously.

11. The ideas must be in the any one of the following industries,

A.Fintech

B.Deeptech

C.Healthtech

D.Cleantech

E.Edutech

12. Teams are not required to have had any sales or have their venture registered to participate in Ventura.

13. E-Cell is not responsible for and does not assure any financial transactions or investment that may or may not arise from this competition.

14. E-Cell, NIT Trichy has the right to make the final decision on which teams are selected for the subsequent rounds and reserves the right to include or exclude any teams for any reasons.
